sometimes we dance
Feb. 28th, 2002 06:16 pmI hooked the VT320 terminal (DEC) to the Netra's console port (Sun) by dint of going to the server room and rooting around the piles of serial parts until I forcibly transformed the whackjob DEC MMJ connector into a humble DB9.
This means the beleaguered project manager, whose ass it is my duty to save as often as possible, can stop using her laptop to hook to this box (and the associated pile of test routers) every time it hiccups.
I like solving problems. I like making other people's jobs easier (at least when they are people I like), but Making Things Work is just a sheer fundamental delight. Almost as good as sashimi (which is next up on my checklist for the evening).
