I trust that all my friends who have lately posted the traditional complaints about how California doesn't have [weather, seasons] are out dancing naked in the rain. Me, I'm watching the rain fall sideways and hoping the roof will stay on.

(I actually was brewing a longer essay about how California does TOO have seasons, you just aren't paying attention, but that would take work to write. :)

Hee. I tease about the weather/climate thing because of fond midwest memories of vicious thunderstorms. Truth be told, there's probably more /types/ of weather out here, with the microclimates and all. And yes, much rain-galumfings occurred this morning before work. :)

Hopefully the winds pass you by without any property damage! If you need more tools to help fix, just holler...

I had two minor (slowly dripping) leaks that I've noticed. I climbed up on the roof in the rain and cleaned out the drainpipe plugs, which will help the inch or so of water drain off... Whee!

Not exactly dancing, but I've enjoyed being out and about today.

LOL! I remember when I was at your place in 2004 while Rob was in Iraq. I swear, I thought the house was gonna be picked up and flung into Wizard of Oz land. :D

I have not recently complained about it here, but I wasn't naked either.
I am, however, a bit damp. (It had stopped raining by the time I got out, and was just sort of spitting.)

It has seasons, just not *eastern* seasons.

Thank you for saving me the effort of saying it.

I was slightly impressed. About 11am I was driving my car directly downwind at 30 mph. The wind was still slapping rain against the rear window of my station wagon so hard that I had to turn the radio way up just to hear it. I figure the wind at my location was steady 40 mph, gusting to about 50 or so.
